About

A Forever Recovery is an alcohol and drug addiction treatment facility that is located at 216 St. Mary's Lake Rd. in Battle Creek, Michigan. Treating substance abuse involves multiple stages of treatment through a recovery program such as that offered by A Forever Recovery. This can include group counseling, individual counseling, outpatient treatment, inpatient treatment, and medically assisted detox, among many others. Treatment programs are based on the individual themselves and are constructed to suit each patient individually. Just as every person is unique, so should treatment programs and that is exactly what patients will receive at A Forever Recovery.

If addicts do not obtain the right type of support and guidance, they may find treatment to be very difficult as the thought of sobriety can seem so far-fetched. At A Forever Recovery, professional counseling and guidance are provided to all patients aged 18+, giving them the strength needed in order to obtain a life that is free of drug and alcohol addiction. By altering the patient's outlook on life through addiction treatment, they will be able to stay positive throughout the duration of rehab.

The staff members at A Forever Recovery have a mission and that is to give patients effective and quality addiction treatment so that long-lasting sobriety can be obtained. The path to a positive future starts on a positive foot and that begins at A Forever Recovery. Confronting addiction is a difficult thing to do, but it is the most important step in the recovery process. Through professional counseling during the patient's time in treatment, patients will learn coping skills and trigger management which is imperative to the success of maintaining sobriety.

Maintaining sobriety on one's own is extremely difficult, especially when the addict has tried to go 'cold turkey' on their own. This is because it requires medically-assisted detox in order to properly and safely wean the body off of the substance of abuse. This way the body does not go through sudden withdrawal nor experience harsh side effects. A Forever Recovery can provide patients with all of the necessary tools, treatments, and resources so that patients have every opportunity to succeed in recovery.

Getting treatment is the best option when seeking a life that is free of substance abuse. Get the help required now and start living the best life possible. Contact A Forever Recovery by visiting aforeverrecovery.com now.

One of my family members went to this program a little over four months ago and I have held off writing a review about this place until I could see how he was going to do once he returned home and I can now say that since his return home, we all as a family have seen an incredible change within him and he has been doing great since returning home. He has not slipped up once, his attitude and demeanor has completely changed and he is a completely different person than entered into treatment a few months back. He has made it a point to continue to go to counseling since returning home and you can tell he seems much more confident within himself as well. He has a new found drive within him and he know has a clear understanding of what he wants to do with his life and what he wants to do for a career, yes you heard me right, not a job a career. That makes me unbelievably happy. To see him went he entered treatment as a frail, quiet and unspoken individual to seeing him now as a determined, confident well rounded bright spirit who has direction and goals was what we were all hoping for, but weren't expecting. He was able to work on his underlying issues and he was very happy with the counselor that he had while being i treatment and I think they were the one who was able to really work with him on a daily basis to get to the root of his issues and help him see his full potential and self worth and know that all of the past issues could be resolved and fixed with a little work on his part and guidance and understanding. We are all completely impressed with how this facility cared for our family members needs and we are equally impressed with the level of service that they have all provided to him along the way and continue to provide for him with his aftercare since leaving the center. We would recommend this place to anyone needing help with any type of addiction they may be struggling with.

I started my journey into recovery essentially with my parents. My parents knew I had a problem before I had any idea. So that sort of started my whole rehab thing. I was 21. I had my 21st birthday in rehab. , so it’s been a long road. I was in and out of treatment centers, I went to any kind you could imagine, and I just kept relapsing, and relapsing and relapsing. It went on for like 10 years and then finally I hit a bottom, and I didn’t really have any other choice but to get clean, or I was going to die. that is when i reached out for help yet another time. despite the fact that my parents really wanted to give up on me they did not and they sent me here. this program was not like others at all i was not sitting around sick alone no one to talk to only judgments and dirty looks. it was clean here peaceful and no one started at you funny we were all here for the same reason. we needed help and could not do it ourselves.i gave in to this program and i participated in every thing possible but my favorite was the art therapy they offered. i was in there te first day and i realized how therapeutic it was for me so i kept going. this played a key factor in my sobriety. i still today am in love with art and i paint every day. i would like to make that my new profession and i am working hard at achieving that. this program worked better for me than any other one i had been to i believe because the staff are just like us most of them have been there so they know how to help better than any one. i am only successful today because of coming here because of the help and support they provided i am alive well and doing great. i wish all of you luck in your journey and i hope you get to feel what i feel one day because you are worth the fight.

After discharging from my five-month stay in treatment, I saw a new life ahead of me, a life that I never thought was possible for me. When I walked out of those doors, I had goals. I wanted a future. I had a smile on my face that was no longer fake. it was a long road getting there but i did. being in inpatient treatment really helped me for short and long term. i got clean while i was staying there and they taught me how to cope with my cravings and anxiety when i left so i did not relapse in the future. i know i have a long road ahead of me but i am confident i can make it through. the program here is wonderful they are kind they are gentle and they really care whether or not you make it in life.Today, I know that it does get better. The people who told me that knew what they were talking about. Today, my demons are not all gone I still have negative thoughts. However, I now know how to cope with those thoughts. I don’t set expectations for myself , but I do set goals. My goals are not always long-term goals– sometimes they are goals that I can accomplish in five minutes. When I realized that life outside of drugs exists, it was the most refreshing feeling I have ever felt. And now that I feel a happiness I forgot existed, I want to use my stories to help others. I want to show them that things do get better. I hope to inspire those who have no hope that they can recover. i would not be where i am today had i not got help they were truly my saviors and i hope some one else reading this decided to get up and try and get help and make a better life for themselves.

I’m in recovery from drugs, opiates and meth. I’ll have nine months clean on November 19.I realized I needed help after going to court. I actually suggested rehab, and they told me I would have to finish a program. Since starting one, I’ve grown. I’ve become the person that I used to be before using. I’m starting to put my life back together, fixing my relationship with my family. I’m getting my kids back. That’s all coming up just right around the corner.Recovery is not as bad as it seems. While you’re using it seems like it will be awful, but once you get into recovery, it feels great! Getting clean and sober is something I didn’t really think I wanted to do, and now I’m just so glad I did. It’s hard work, but life is what you make of it. I’ve decided to make it good.i owe it all to this amazing place i found online. i made every minute in treatment count not just because of legal trouble but because i wanted a better life i wanted my kids and i wanted to mend these relationships with my family. i wanted them to be proud of me again. i may not be exactly who i was before drugs but i am certainly close. i do not take a day for granted any more and i am starting on my path of redemption. i have a great job and i have my own place. i am happy to be where i am today. thank you to all who made it possible thank you for saving my life. i hope one person reading this realizes there is so much more to life than addiction and more importantly that there is life after addiction.

A Forever Recovery is an amazing place to go if you need help getting off drugs or alcohol. The facility is set up incredibly well. The property the facility is on is really beautiful. It’s in an out of the way location with tons of space to settle and sort through your issues. The building doesn’t feel like a rehab. It’s not all white walls and sterile furniture. It’s a comfortable place to be, especially when you’re going through the worst of it in the beginning. The whole program is set up really well. First you have your detox. You are put of a detox program that’s tailored to you and what you need. There isn’t a blanket way that they handle detox there. What that means for someone coming into the program is that while you go through detox you’re doing so with as little discomfort as possible. Once you finish detox and are ready to start your program you have multiple programs to choose from. AFR doesn’t have just one way to treat addiction. They understand that the same program isn’t going to work for everyone. Instead of offering only one program and hoping that it works for the clients they have multiple programs to choose from. So, each person gets to do a program that works for them. It’s an incredibly smart way to deal with addiction and recovery. Everyone there gets what they need without all the extra added stuff that just wouldn’t help anyway. There’s a lot more to AFR than just rehab and the additional things they offer there make it better. Having a gym where you get work out helps. Having good food that’s healthy helps as well. Adding the two together and you have people that have been malnourished and out of shape fixing that for themselves. They understand that the health of the body helps with the health of the mind. Feeling good about yourself makes it that much easier to stay clean and sober. They have art therapy and music therapy classes that are great. You get to be creative in both of these classes and they help you work through stuff without having to go over it again and again with someone. It’s also nice just having that creative outlet while going through rehab. There’s a lot of people who come to AFR that pick up an old hobby. They start drawing again or crocheting or any of the other hundreds of things people do creatively. One of the great things about AFR is the staff there. There’s a good amount of people working at AFR who struggled with addiction themselves. It’s a lot easier to help someone when you know what they are going through. Plus, they’re ready examples of what you can accomplish when you get free of addiction. A Forever Recovery is a fantastic rehabilitation program with some amazing people working there. Those two things together make it a place that can and will help you or someone you love overcome their addiction.

I was very happy with the way A Forever Recovery handled my son. My son was addicted to crack and heroin and had been for many years. Our family has tried for years to get him the help he needed but he’s either refused to go to rehab or if he did go he didn’t do anything to help himself while there. What finally convinced him to get help was his best friend overdosing in front of him. It scared him as it should have and he finally agreed to go to rehab and try. I found A Forever Recovery and right away I felt like it would be a good place for him. I liked that they wouldn’t give him more drugs there. That when he got home it wouldn’t be that he was off heroin and crack but on some psychiatric medication. He’d be completely clean and he would just have to work to stay that way. The staff there are wonderful. A lot of them have worked through their own addictions and that gave them insight into what my son would need during each part of his program. They were great at their job. Professional yet very kind and understanding. They also helped me a lot in understanding and working with my son. It’s hard when you see your kid messing up his life and aren’t able to do anything about it. It has led to some very bad arguments between us because I didn’t understand why he wouldn’t get help. The staff at AFR were wonderful in helping my son and I bridge a gap that had been around for years. They helped me understand what he was going through and kept me updated on his progress throughout his program. With his permission of course. The amount of time the program takes was also something I was interested in. There’s not time limit for each person’s program. It’s all evidence based. So if the staff don’t feel you’re ready to move on to the next step of your program, you don’t. I took a lot of comfort in that, especially with the staff who had dealt with addictions themselves. Because I knew they would make sure that my son understood and really got each step of the program he did. The program he did is another thing. They have multiple programs at AFR. Whenever I’d send him to rehab in the past it was always a 12-step program, because I didn’t know any different. At AFR they have different programs and each program is tailored to the client’s needs. So, for the first time my son got exactly the right help he needed with people who really cared about him and were there because they wanted to help. My son’s back home now and doing really well. He’s a much happier, brighter person. He’s working with the aftercare specialist and is doing great. I’m so glad that my son went through the program at AFR. It’s amazing, seeing the person he’s become. Which is a happy, smart and sweet guy. Going to AFR saved his life and I would recommend the facility to anyone looking to get help for themselves or a loved one.

A Forever Recovery is a great rehab. Going there saved my life. Everything about AFR is designed to help their patients get better in an environment that is comfortable. The building is a little old but still beautiful and the property it’s on is great. Really pretty and scenic. The whole process of going through rehab there isn’t what you’d expect if you’ve gone to rehab before. When you first get there and are checking in you’re treated well, no one there makes you feel like you’re less of a person for getting addicted to whatever it is you’re addicted to. No one makes you feel bad or judged for the things you’ve done to keep your addiction going. There’s different programs there so if you have been to rehab before and tried a 12-step program or something else, you have other programs to choices from. Personally, I’ve been to quite a few rehabs and have tried the same 12-step program multiple times. I’m not alone in this and I can’t tell you how nice it is just to do something different. At AFR I actually got the help I needed so I could change my life for the better. I’m not a depressed person in the clinical sense but, being an addict, trying and failing to stop using, that in itself is pretty depressing. With all that, I was impressed at how happy I was there. I actually looked forward to each day there and what I’d learn or do that day. At AFR they understand that no one person addiction is the same as another. They get that each person needs something different and the staff there work to make sure that each person has what they need and are doing the right program for them so that they can live a happy, full life without drugs. I learned what my triggers were and how to avoid those triggers in the future. I learned a lot of different coping skills so that I don’t relapse and fall into old patterns. During your program, no matter which program you choose the counselors really push you to figure things out for yourself while still being supportive and helping you through the progress. I noticed how different AFR was the first day I was there. Every staff member cares about the patients and what they’re going through. The other patients there are the same way. When I first arrived and wasn’t sure of anything I was supposed to be doing or where exactly I was supposed to be there was always someone around to make sure that I found my way and was doing okay. When I first got to AFR and was settling in, for the first time in forever I knew that I had the chance to deal with my addiction and have a better life. Now that I’ve finished my program I know what I need to do and how to keep myself sober. I wasted so much of my life using drugs and now I have the ability to be a part of my family again, to live the life I want and it’s been an amazing experience.

Either you want rehab or not. They will give you amazing tools to be a human being. There are so many good people who I met worked there. I had a lady fight for me to stay there after a broke a phone. These one star reviews are jokes. There is no price you can put on your life or the lessons you learn and the people you meet. I despise the people talking bad about this place because addiction is real. They changed my life and I witnessed that all around me. #Cali2Battlecreek

I was offered alcohol at a very young age, and I immediately felt relief. I loved the effect. I wanted more. By 11 years old I drank to black out. I wanted to forget everything, Drugs followed and with intensity, but alcohol was my favorite drug and the one that almost killed me. I could not imagine life without alcohol. I drank for nearly 15 years of my life i probably should not be alive today honestly. i remember my last drink was the day my grand daughter got hurt because she got out of the house while i was watching her and i was drunk and passed out. she could have been killed because of me. my daughter said if i ever wanted to see my grand kids again i had to get help. i decided that day and i left the day next day. i recovered and am now sober because of coming here for help i reached out and they pretty much did every thing else. they really took care of me and they encouraged me even when i wanted to give up. they offered a yoga class here and that was a big help to me and my recovery. it helped me feel free i am so thankful fir this opportunity i hope i can in turn help others get away from that life.I want so badly to help address the stigma attached to alcohol and drug addiction. I believe this is a great solution for helping others. I know the pain of addiction. I understand the power of the obsession to use. I get it. But, I also know there is hope for us. Many find recovery, and we are always willing to help others seeking sobriety.

Since going to A Forever Recovery my daughter’s life has been so much better. She started using heroin when she was 21. She’s 25 now and the 4 years she spent using did a lot of damage to her both mentally and physically. She started smoking weed when she was 16 and I didn’t think much of it other than how it affected her school work. I didn’t send her to rehab or to any NA meetings because I thought it was just a phase she’d grow out of. Both her father and I smoked pot when we were younger and nothing came out of it so I thought it’d be the same with her. That wasn’t the case for my daughter and she started using harder drugs until she found heroin and that was it. When we found out what was going on my husband and I of course tried to get her into rehab right away. She refused to go, pack some of her things and left the house. We didn’t see her again for 9 months which was when she finally agreed to go to rehab. We sent her to a traditional 12-step program and there she did a 28-day program. When she came home she stayed with us and for a couple months I thought she’d be okay. That she would stay clean but, after being home for 3 months, she relapsed. After seeing her sober for so long it was obvious to us that she’d been using. She tried to lie about it and when we didn’t believe her lies she finally said that she’d only used once and that she’d get a handle on it. We let her stay at the house, hoping that being around her family would help her stay clean. It didn’t and when we realized that she wasn’t quitting we had to kick her out. It was the hardest thing I’d ever done but, she has a sister and I didn’t want her around that. We told her that when she was ready to get help to come back and we’d be there for her. We didn’t see her again for the next 4 months and I spent most of that time looking into different rehabs. After all the research I did, my husband and I decided that when she was ready to get help we’d send her to A Forever Recovery. The programs at AFR looked great and I knew she’d do a program that was tailored to her needs. The intake counselor was amazing with us. He gave us great advice on helping our daughter realize that she needed help and even knowing that she wouldn’t be going there right away he spent a long time on the phone with us and was always available to take our calls if we needed help with something. I also liked that AFR was a couple states away from us. That helped because if our daughter were to decide she wanted to leave I knew none of her friends would be willing to pick her up. Without someone buying her a plane ticket she’d have to be dead set on leaving. 3 weeks into her program she did want to leave and having her so far away with no immediate way to leave, it gave the staff there the time they needed to convince her to stay and finish her program. She spent 6 months at AFR, completed her program and has been home for 6 months now. She’s doing great. She’s still clean and sober. She started taking classes at a community college. Just taking basic courses right now but she’s thinking about her future and making plans for it. She’s working, has had the same job since she came home and hasn’t missed a day since she started working there. She’s made so much progress since going to AFR and just continues to improve. Going to A Forever Recovery was the best thing for her.

My brother went to A Forever Recovery last year and he’s been doing amazing since then. My brother’s addiction to heroin started 10 years ago and it’s been really hard on the rest of the family. He’s always been able to manipulate our mother into giving him whatever he wants or for forgiving him after he’s done something. Even as kids he never got in trouble much, not because he didn’t do anything wrong but because he was great at manipulating our parents even then. For the last 3 years the only one in our family who would talk to my brother was our mom. 3 years ago, he stole some of our mom’s jewelry and pawned in. No one noticed it was missing and by the time they did the jewelry had already been resold. Our dad was super mad and stopped talking to him. Our mom though never could completely cut him off and my brother seemed to be able to sense when she was close to him limit and that’s when he’d ask her for help and she’d send him to rehab. He wasn’t really looking for help to get clean, he was just making sure, in whatever way he could, that he could continue to manipulate our mom into doing whatever he wanted her to. The last time my brother asked our mom for help our dad stepped in. See, my brother always chose the rehab he was going to, he’d find one and that’s the one our mom would send him to. Our dad had found A Forever Recovery and decided that instead of my brother going wherever he wanted that if he said he wanted help, he would go to a place that would actually help him. My dad picked AFR because they have multiple programs available, there’s no time limit to how long someone is there for and because while talking to the intake counselor about my brother the intake counselor was confident that my brother wouldn’t be able to con his way through the program. They have staff at AFR who have been addicts themselves and my brother wouldn’t be able to manipulate them into letting him go forward in his program until he was actually ready to. At first, my brother hated it there because of that. He was used to being able to talk his way out of anything and he just couldn’t do that there. He was there for 4 months and he started changing about a month into his program. When he realized that he’d actually have to do his program for real or wouldn’t be going home he started really doing it. Begrudgingly at first but the more he did on his program, the more he liked it there and finally he decided that he did want to be clean and sober. The last 3 months he was at AFR, he changed a lot. Really, he just got better and better the more he did on his program. The staff at AFR are really amazing. They took my brother who didn’t want to get clean and was only going to rehab because he wanted to be able to tell our mom that he tried, into someone who did in fact want to stay sober and helped him learn the tools he needed to stay that way. When my brother came home after completing his program no one in our family really knew what to expect. What he says when he’s in rehab and what he does when he gets out has always been drastically different. This time though, he didn’t immediately go back to doing whatever he wanted. He stayed in contact with his aftercare specialist from AFR, went to meetings every day and started working again. Since completely AFR my brother has stayed sober. He’s doing much better in life now and it's pretty great being able to have my brother back in my life.

This place was amazing from start to finish. They helped me son to overcome his addiction to heroin and I could not be more satisfied with the outcome and astounding help he received while here. The staff was very attentive to his needs and understood the steps needed to be taken in order to correct his thinking patterns and they were understanding in regards to how he got to where he is now. They took the time needed to sit with him and listen as well as to council him so that he was able to understand the steps that he needed to take in order to regain control of his life. He was able to participate in so many types of treatment here that he found himself gaining so much knowledge. More than he thought . He benefited positively as he was able to gain moral recognition skills, work and job seeking skills and relapse prevention as well. He is constantly working every day to continue to make positive changes in his life and remain on the right path and he has been doing great ever since graduating the center.

My daughter spent a little over 2 months at this center trying to get clean and sober from her substance abuse addiction. As a parent you have faith in the recovery process, but you also know that there is going to be a long road ahead of them. Knowing that she agreed to go to get the help in the first place was a big step for her. She had a very bad anger problem and she did not listen to what others had to say almost ever. She would lose control so quickly that she soon began to not know how to control it and because of her drug use it got much worse. While she was in the program she learned self-control and managed to get some valuable insight to her anger issues and how it was affecting other areas of her life. With the Groups she attend and the aftercare given she was able to graduate the center return home and continue with aftercare, while holding down a job and she just enrolled in schooling. We could not be more pleased as a family with the results and improvement she has shown.

I’ve been to A Forever Recovery twice. The first time I went was 5 years ago. For 4 years after doing my first program I was clean and sober. 10 months ago, I relapsed and went right back to AFR. Before going to AFR 5 years ago, I had been to several different rehabs. I was never able to stay clean for very long after leaving them and it was demoralizing. Each time I went to rehab and then relapsed I would lose faith that I’d ever get clean. I’ve known quite a few drug addicts in my life. Both people from home I’d use with and the people I went through programs with. It was always harder on the people actually trying to get clean. If you don’t want to stay clean when you leave a rehab that it doesn’t matter to you if you relapse or not. If you’re only in treatment because your parents or spouse made you get help then going to rehab after rehab doesn’t bother you so much. For the people like me who tried, who worked extremely hard on their programs, just trying to get it right so that they could turn their lives around. When you do all that and still relapse, it downright heartbreaking. Not just for you but for your family and friends who try to help you. For me, after the first few rehabs it became harder and harder to go back to rehab and try all over again. You lose hope that you’re going to find that one rehab that works for you. Going to AFR was sort of a last-ditch effort for me. I was so sick of going to rehab after rehab and AFR seemed different from the others. I wasn’t particularly optimistic about going there but that had nothing to do with AFR itself. It was just me trying not to get my hopes up. Going to AFR though, it changed everything for me. The staff at AFR are amazing. They’re extremely knowledgeable, they’re kind, compassionate and understanding. They completely understood what I was going through and were able to help me more than any other rehab I’d be to previously. With them having different programs to choose from I wasn’t stuck trying to do a program that didn’t work for me, my personality or my needs. I did a program I wanted to do, that I felt would help me the most and by doing that I was able to get a handle on my addiction and was finally able to stop that horrible cycle of going to rehab after rehab just to relapse. I was able to completely turn my life around at AFR. My first time at AFR I was there for 4 months and when I left I was 100% ready to live my life clean and sober. I was so much happier than I ever thought possible and I stayed that way for 4 years. 10 months ago, I was dealing with some personal issues and I messed up. Because of the how much help I got at AFR the first time I went straight back there. Because of the stuff I was dealing with I knew that if I stayed home trying to deal with everything and stay clean after I’d relapsed I wouldn’t be able to. So, I checked myself back into AFR. Going back was the best decision I could have made for myself. I got a refresher on my program and was able to deal with my personal stuff in a place where I felt safe and comfortable. I was only at AFR for 30 days but I didn’t need to be there any longer. I got my life back on track before it spiraled out of control. I’m back home again and doing better than ever. I couldn’t be happier with the help I received or more grateful to the staff working at AFR. They are wonderful people doing some pretty amazing things.

I have been a drug addict for most my life pretty much starting at age 12. my parents both did drugs drank and they partied all the time. so naturally me and my siblings followed suit. i did not choose this life always use to say that it chose me and this is all i know but as i realized when i got older it was just an excuse really i mean i could have done any thing i wanted i did not have to end up like my parents. about a year i decided to take my life back and seek out help. i wanted for my brother and sister to join me but they refused they like their lifestyle and i guess i feel i am too old for it now and wanted a change i wanted to be healthy. i fear for their lives every day i am always waiting on that one phone call it is sad to say. our parents have both passed away from drug use and i am the oldest of us siblings i was really hoping they would follow in my foot steps and seek help or at least want to change their life but i was not that lucky. when i came to treatment here i was excited but also nervous i was scared because i knew i would be sick i knew it was going to be hard. the first month was the hardest getting into the swing of things and i felt like i was slowly rediscovering myself again and it really felt good but scared me at the same time. after about a month and a half i got the worst phone call ever my brother was found unresponsive in his apartment and when they rushed him to the hospital he died on the way there. i was absolutely crushed i blamed myself i felt i should have tried harder for him to get help i should have been there with him. being here and having the support of the staff and new friends really helped me through this i wanted to quit i wanted to use so bad because that was the easy way i could numb the pain so quick that way but i did not do it. i left for his funeral and i came right back and finished my program here. i got the ultimate test while i was here and i came out stronger than i ever was. the people here are truly amazing with what they do i learned so many new things and i have coping skills to deal with life now and any thing thrown at me. i am grateful for my time here and this opportunity at a second chance. i met new friends i still contact every day we all support each other in our recovery. when i left treatment i went into a sober living home and there they helped me find a job an got me back on my feet. today i am clean i am sober i have an awesome job and my own little apartment with my dog and i could not ask for a better life. i am now free of any thing holding me back and i am ready to take on the world. i think of that time in my life as a chapter closed and this new one is still being written. i hope to speak and inspire people into wanting a better life for themselves and i hope they achieve it like i did.we all deserve a second chance you just have to take the first step. you are worth it we all are.thank you to the doctors and nurses and staff here for changing my life i really owe my life to you and i will never forget what you did for me.

Alcoholism and addiction runs in my family, many are affected. I have a younger sister and I’m happy that she appears to be healthy and doesn’t have a problem.I remember the first time I drank. It was an instant love affair, the thing I was looking for; it gave me everything I needed. I lived with my mother in my younger years and was (at that time) very angry with her.she had no idea that I was drinking and using. I kept that secret very well for a long time. drinking was my way to express my anger toward my mother; I was harming myself because I wanted to hurt her i guess.Eventually, I became very physically ill with several illnesses, including hepatitis. That was the start of the end of my addiction journey. I went to a hospital, but didn’t stay because my addiction made me leave. When illness first took over, I had to reduce my substance use. At that time, I had fever for a long time, and stayed with a friend. Once I felt just a little bit better, I immediately went back to using. After experiencing a sexual assault as an adult, my sister told me that my siblings and I had experienced sexual assault/abuse as children.I realized that I had suppressed all memories about this abuse for many years. I found a very good therapist. She worked with me on the trauma and the addiction and encouraged me to go to treatment as well. The key to recovery is connection. If you connect with other people in recovery, you will get your real needs met. Healthy relationships are a great foundation to build a life of recovery. i learned that after coming here and realizing what i had been missing out on all these years.i needed to feel loved i wanted to feel wanted and liked. all these years i was depressed and felt abandon. after coming to this program i feel like i have a whole new outlook on life i have a new family a new job i got a lot going for me. i can only continue to go up from here. i realized coming to treatment that my life is precious i am still surviving for a reason. i am meat to do great things and getting the help i received here made me see that. today i work in communications and i am damn good at my job i make awesome money and best of all i do not rely on any substance to get me thought the day or any one to help me. i no longer speak with my mother and she wants nothing to do with me i made peace with that and i am happy living my life the way that it is going. i thank this treatment center and every one who runs it for helping me take my life back and showing me the way to the light. i wake up every day blessed to have been given a second chance.

Going to A Forever Recovery changed everything for me. When I first got to AFR I didn’t want to get or stay sober. I had absolutely no intention of doing anything but biding my time until I could leave and start using again. The only reason I went to AFR was because my parents threatened to cut me off unless I went to treatment. I’ve been to a few rehabs before going to AFR, I went to each of them for the exact same reason and after each program I started using again as soon as I could. See, I had convinced myself that my life was good. That I didn’t need to get sober and that I could continue using for the rest of my life as I’d be just fine. Looking back now, I know that it was pretty delusional of me to think that way. What changed everything for me was my counselor sat me down a few weeks into my program. She’d seen that I wasn’t really trying and understood that I wasn’t there because I wanted to get sober. She handled my attitude about my sobriety by making me take an honest look at my life. She made me look at how everything had changed since I started using. How my relationship with my family and friends was now, how many times I’d been fired or broken up with, everything. By doing that with me, she got me to see how much my life had worsen and got me to understand that I really did need to get sober and that doing my program the right way was the way to make sure I got and stayed sober. So, I made the decision to really do my program, get the help I needed and change my life. It wasn’t easy for me at all. Making the decision to get help didn’t change the fact that I had 5 years of bad habits to break. There were quite a few times when my counselor had to point out to me that I wasn’t really trying or that I was doing the absolute bare minimum to get by. There were also many, many times when I was just a horrible brat about everything to everyone. My counselor got me to see what I was doing and why and helped me get to the point where the effort I put into my program was real and true. In addition to all of that I had all my emotions from the past 5 years coming out. Before, my answer to every problem I had or anytime I wasn’t happy, was to get high. Not having that option anymore meant that I had to actually deal with things and it wasn’t easy for me. My counselor, she helped me deal with everything in a positive manner and I don’t know what I’d have done without her. I know how bad I was in the beginning of my program. I was a horrible person and I wouldn’t have wanted to even be around me. Yet, she helped me, through everything she was there, keeping me on track, making sure I did everything I needed to. That women just refused to give up on me. I was there for 3 months and in that time my entire life changed. I’ve been home for 6 months now, and I’ve been doing amazing. When I first got home, my parents were skeptical. Their past experience didn’t lend itself to anything but skepticism. Slowly but surely, they’ve started to trust that not only do I want to be sober but that I’ll do what I need to so I can stay sober. Having them trust me again, knowing that I’ve actually earned it, it’s an amazing feeling. Going to AFR, it saved my life.

A Forever Recovery is a great program for people looking to end their problem with addiciton. Treatment in an program like AFR can last for a period of time that can benefit you in so many ways. Those undergoing alcohol and drug treatment will have a supervised detox period if it is needed. This is usually the first step on the road to recovery for most people entering into the program and they really do take a lot of time in helping you to get past the initial phase of coming off of drugs. Supervised detox can help with withdrawal symptoms because this is the part so many of us are scared of before we even get started. Stopping drugs and alcohol quickly can be dangerous for so many people and they really guide you through this part of treatment. This makes supervised detox a must. A Forever Recovery really can can offer a sense of relief to the patient and make us feel like we are among the living again. Being taken away from stressful situations that may cause so many of us to use and allowing us to concentrate on sobriety is such a plus. They offer a wide range of services. These services include group therapy, individual counseling, relapse prevention and skills to help you to live sober. AFR offers a structured environment. Having a structured environment allows little time to think about the addiction. A Forever Recovery offer the best chance for success.I hope that those who are looking for help find that A Forever Recovery is beneficial for them and take a chance with them for their recovery.

I am a recovering addict going on a year of sobriety now. i have been drinking and doing meth for over four years and my life spiraled out of control and i lost a lot of time falling victim to this disease. i lost every thing i owned i lost my family my kids my wife. at that time when your as bad as i was you really do not see the effect the hurt or impact you have on other peoples lives until it is too late.i felt helpless and useless you would not believe how people look at you and treat you when your on drugs. then my drinking i felt like if i did not drink i could not sleep at night at all. my life was a mess.i think i hit my rock bottom when i overdosed and nearly died. i was just that scared. it was like a light bulb going off like i needed to figure this out because i wanted to live it might not have seemed like it but i really did. i use to be really in to my art i am good at it i use to make my living that way selling my art and hosting at galleries all over. after the drugs took over my life my creativity went out he window as well. i stopped doing every thing i was doing i lived on my savings for a while until that ran out. when that was gone i lived with a family member for a while. no surprise after a while that did not work out. so there i was broke and homeless and i had no one to blame but myself. i would lie i would cheat i would steal i did any thing i needed to too get high. by all means necessary i thought i could not live without it. the day i decided to change my life for the better was the best day of my life really the hardest yet best decision i have ever made. i almost backed out of going but the people who work here would not give up on me and encouraged me to come in and that i would be in great hands. in great hands i was this place was amazing lots of amenities and a lot of great people. at first i tried to keep to myself but once i got comfortable it was really nice being surrounded by people who were supportive of you and encouraged you every day to be better than yesterday. i worked the program like i was supposed to and stuck with it. the guidance from the staff and doctors really made it possible. through all of the horrible years i had been through and put every one else through i still some how remained my grand mothers favorite grand child and unfortunately she passed away while i was in the treatment program. when i got done and graduated the program i had a large sum of money waiting for me and a big decision no pressure right? today i am proud to be the owner of my very own art gallery. i teach young people and a group of students every day the importance of art and how you can turn your boredom or pain into creativity instead of turning to drugs. i want every one to know my story because i am not ashamed any more that was a chapter in my life that i can not change but i may be able to use it to help others and that is what i have set out to do. i am doing what i love and inspiring people at the same time who have no hope or have almost or have went down the same path i have. i want to thank every one here who had a hand in saving my life with out you all i would not be here i am sure of that. i was on my last string and it was almost over . you rescued me from this disease and from myself. i have my family back now and i spent a lot of time earning the trust back of very one cared about. i could not be more proud of the person i am today. thank you again for reading and i hope this reaches and touches some ones life.

My husband went to A Forever Recovery 9 months ago. When I met my husband 7 years ago he told me he was a recovering addict. I didn’t think much about it because all it meant at the time was that he didn’t drink. 2 years ago, his mom died and he was a wreck. When he started using again I had no idea. The signs were there but I had no experience with something like this and didn’t notice the things that I should have. I found out he had been using when he called me from jail saying that he’d been arrested for possession. A friend of mine had a kid that had a drug problem and I called her because I didn’t know what to do. She recommended A Forever Recovery, she had sent her kid there and it had really helped her. The person I talked to on the phone to get my husband to treatment was amazing. He worked with me to get my husband into the program right away. He also took the time to just talk to me about what my husband would be going through during his program and assure me that he’d be getting the help he needed while he was there. Once my husband was there and working on his program I was able to talk to one of the staff members every week so they could update me on my husband’s progress through the program. I talked to my husband throughout his program and he told me what he was working on and how it was going but being able to talk to a counselor myself and having it confirmed that he was doing well was a relief for me. After I found out that my husband was using for almost an entire year without me knowing about it made me question just about everything he said to me. I love my husband but still couldn’t trust that everything he was telling me was the absolute truth. So, having a counselor confirm for me that he was doing well and working hard on his program was something I needed. Every time I spoke with my husband on the phone he only had good things to say about the program and the staff there. From what he told me it wasn’t anything like the rehabs he had been to when he was younger. The facility itself was clean and nice being at. It wasn’t anything like the rehabs he had been to when he was younger. He felt comfortable there and he found it easier to talk to the counselors because they were extremely knowledgeable and understanding of what he was going through. My husband stayed there for 6 weeks and since he’s been home he’s been doing great. Because I didn’t notice the signs of his using and I don’t trust myself to notice if he did relapse he agreed to do drug tests for me so that I’d know without a shadow of a doubt that he’s clean. He’s passed every one of them. He also looks much better since going to AFR and has been a much happier person.

Did you know that drug and alcohol addiction is now considered to be the number one health problem in this country? That is something new to me. I have had to learn a lot in light of my daughter’s recent drug and alcohol problem. Basically, my daughter had been struggling with substance abuse problems on and on for some tim, and she had been unwilling to get help for a long time, which was very unfortunate. She just seemed to constantly struggle and be totally unwilling to accept help of any kind. Finally, on June 1st of this year, she overdosed and we almost lost her. Now Alice was willing to get help. We went online and found A Forever Recovery, which was only an hour away from us. My wife and I knew basically nothing about drug and alcohol addiction except what we had learned from having a daughter who was addicted, and we definitely did not know much about rehab until we got in touch with A Forever Recovery. We drove Alice to A Forever Recovery shortly after she got out of the hospital from her OD, and her life started to change very quickly for the better as soon as we got her into A Forever Recovery. A Forever Recovery operates a very kind, very efficient, and very pleasant recovery process. When we toured the program we were quite impressed with the services that they were able to offer and the capacity for encouragement and the capacity for better futures that these people are able to create. The staff are all very knowledgeable and fun to be around, and the community aspect there is very strong. The facility itself is very well put together and adept, and the level of care that they seem to show each individual is truly nice. I had kind of gotten the idea that rehab was an unpleasant experience, but this was definitely not the case at A Forever Recovery. Everyone there seemed very happy to be there, and everyone there seemed to be more than thrilled to create a better future for themselves. It was starting to look like Alice was not going to make it last spring, but as soon as we put her in A Forever Recovery, we knew we had made the right choice. When the end of the summer rolled around, Alice graduated from A Forever Recovery and it was like she was an entirely different person. She really seemed to have changed a lot and we were thrilled with the differences and the progress that she had made. Now it seemed like she was a different person and that she was going to be doing a lot better going forward, and that was something that we were all thrilled about. Our hats are off to A Forever Recovery, because this program really gave us our daughter back! If you are seeking help for yourself or someone you care about who is struggling with an addiction, then I strongly recommend this program and all that they are able to do for you and your family. You will not be disappointed with the level of care and service that A Forever Recovery is able to deliver to people.

6 months ago, a very close friend of mine went to A Forever Recovery and we couldn’t have asked for a better treatment center. They had started using pain medication 5 years ago. She was 26 when she started using them and before that she had a great job. She had been working at the same company, steadily moving up for 4 years. When she started using she stopped doing good work when she was there but was constantly late or just didn’t show up for work. She went to her first rehab when she got fired and I had thought it would be a bit of a wake-up call for her. She didn’t take it seriously at all though. She refused to listen to the counselors and wouldn’t do what she needed to in the program. She just spent her time there hating it and everyone around her and of course when she left she relapsed right away. This went on for the next several rehabs until she went to AFR. When she went to AFR the staff there didn’t let her get away with any of the things she would do at the previous rehabs to get out of doing something. They made her confront her problems and take responsibility for her actions but the staff did it in a way that my friend could deal with. They have multiple programs at AFR and so my friend was able to do a program that was tailored to her and her needs. She wasn’t just doing the same program as everyone else hoping that it would help her. It made such a difference. With her counselors help she decided which program was right for her and after that she took responsibility for her own recovery. She did everything she was supposed to. She did each the of the program fully and wasn’t able to move onto the next step until she was truly 100% ready. She spent 2 months there and they changed her life and her attitude completely. She stopped denying the need for help and acting like her addiction was nothing. When she completed her program and came home she worked hard doing her aftercare, making sure that she was doing what she needed to in order to stay sober. She’s been home for 4 months and hasn’t had a relapse. Having my friend since preschool back and sober for as long as she has been is truly incredible. The program, along with the staff at A Forever Recovery make the best place you could send someone you loved to get help. Going there has changed my friend in the best ways and has set her up for a life without drugs. Thank you AFR!

My son attended and graduated from the program early this year. I cannot say enough about how thankful I am for this program and the staff. I researched a lot and picked this program due to the different options. I knew my son would like to feel like her had a say in his recovery. From the time we dropped him off, everyone made him feel very comfortable. He learned so much from A Forever Recovery and it has saved his life. I would highly recommend this program to anyone!

My son went to A Forever Recovery and it was such a great facility for him. After a car accident, my son was prescribed pain medication and became addicted to the pills. When he didn’t need the pain medication anymore he had a really hard time getting off them by himself. Prior to that car accident he had never had any kind of substance abuse problems. We didn’t really know what to do about it all but we figured that since he hadn’t had a drug problem before this that he could just go to a detox to help him get off the pills and that he’d be fine after that. So, he went to a detox but ended up relapsing soon after. After he relapsed we talked and he decided to go to rehab. He wanted to go to rehab instead of another detox because he wanted to get his addiction completely handled. I researched drug treatment centers and when I found A Forever Recovery it was perfect. Because we’d never had any experience with addiction I had no idea what kind of program to send him to. Having him be able to decide what kind of program would work for him once he was there and detoxed off the pills just sounded smart to me. He ended up really enjoying himself at AFR. He had a lot of fun there, got along great with the other patients and the staff there were great with him. Because he started using pain medication because he was in pain and not because he wanted to get high he had some trouble at the detox he went to with the staff understanding him. The staff at AFR though completely understood what exactly my son was going through. They were able to help him deal with his addiction without making him feel like bad about it. Just that understanding made everything better for my son and I’m amazed at how much good the program did for him. It not only helped him with getting off the pain pills and staying off them but also helped him with other aspects of his life. He’s been with the same girl for 3 years now and when he was on the pain pills they were having some problems because his addiction. Even past just getting my son clean the program actually helped him with his relationship and they are doing great again. Going to AFR helped my son much more than I thought they would. I would’ve been happy just having him off drugs. Instead, he’s happy, healthy and back in charge of his own life.

A Forever Recovery is such a nice peaceful place and it is for someone looking to recover from addiction. This is the type of surrounding you would want from an in patient program. Somewhere where you can go and concentrate just on yourself and what you need to address in order to be successful in your recovery. With no outside distractions from those people and places that contributed to the addiction in the first place. They realize that everyone is different and no one program will help everybody so they sit with the person and find out everything about them and their addiction and what it is they are looking to achieve from their program. They then work out a program just for you so that you can address whatever it is you need to address in your to get through your program and get back to doing well in life again. Their staff will work with you and will be there to help you with whatever comes up over the course of your program. Call and get started with them today, I know you won't regret it! AFR is definitely the place to choose for recovery.

If you are looking to end your addiction you can trust these guys will do all they can to make it happen for you. A Forever Recovery is a great rehab program for people looking for a rehab program and has a great caring staff. There are so many different parts to this program to make it work for you because they treat your program as one that will work for you not everyone will do the same thing because they work it to make it work for you as your own person.. That is what is so great is how they will make it work for you as an individual. One of the most important steps to take when you're ready to stop dealing with that life of chasing those demons you can finally find hope at AFR. We are all different and that has made a difference for me. You will get the treatment services that help you overcome the hold that drugs had over you. Drug abuse can and does have a profoundly adverse impact on your mind and body. They are a great program for anyone looking for help and there is so much that they will be able to do for you. The will address so many things that and let you get some reality on what is going on in your life and make you have a new life like you have not had in such a long time..

I love that A Forever Recovery’s rehab facility has so many useful tools and treatment methods to help one overcome an addiction and become sober. I found their holistic approaches, such as Yoga, meditation, and acupuncture, which all help to heal the body, mind, and spirit very interesting. However, one of the most notable treatment methods they employ is detoxification which is amazing as it facilitates the removal of the drugs and alcohol from the body in order to heal it from the inside out. AFR is unlike any rehab facility. They truly go the distance when it comes to helping addicts. From their support groups to the life skills and tools needed to get back on track, clean and sober. The fact that AFR is also a faith-based rehab center helps addicts to find their spirituality, a sense of purpose, or even reinforce their beliefs. And one of the wonderful things I discovered about A Forever Recovery is their acceptance of insurance! Rehab can be expensive, but I love that they accept insurance as it helps addicts become clean and get back to living a healthy life. Way to go AFR!

My whole life has changed since coming to this center for treatment. Addiction is a real thing and it is something that I was involved in I hate to say for the past four years. I became a severe alcoholic after the passing of my mother. We were best friends and I was completely devastated once she passed and it was not something that I knew how to deal with. I began loosing myself the day she passed, I began to not care about my appearance, and I woke up every morning knowing that I did not have her to talk to. Waking up every morning to that realization made me not care about anything. I went to the local party store one day and grabbed a drink and it was downhill from there, I got so bad that there came a point where I went into the party store for the fifth time in one day and they refused to sell to me because I was so intoxicated and had purchased so much and drank everything within hours of buying from them that I was not welcome in the store anymore. I was on a downward spiral and I was getting worse by the day. One of my friends took it upon himself and started calling around to see if he could find me help. He came across this center and right away he was intrigued by it. Although he knew time was of the essence he was also doing his best to find me a center that was going to help me and not just find one with an opening to throw me into. Before I knew it I was on my way to the center. I pulled up and was not really in great spirits but I knew that if my mother were here this is what she would want for me so if nothing else I knew that I had to give it everything I had for her. I was greeted by staff and taking inside and was given an examination by ma doctor and they asked me a lot of questions so they knew how to approach my situation and figure out what treatment plan they should set up for me and then I was taken to my room. My room was comfortable, I did not feel like I was right on top of anyone else and I felt I had a good deal of privacy to my belongings as well. The detox was as comfortable as it could be and from there I began my course of action with group therapy and individualized counseling. I really enjoyed being able to set up different classes that I was interested in and that I had a say so that I was enjoying and able to engage in my course of action. The staff here seemed to be understanding and completely invested in my outcome here as well as everyone else here too. All of the people that I engaged with on a daily basis seemed to be getting better by the day. I know I will never truly get over the death of my mother and her passing, but I can at least move on in life not drinking my life away about it anymore and learn to stay sober and cherish the memories that I had with her. I know that she would not want me to waste my life away. This center is kind, caring and compassionate. They give you everything that they have in order to see you succeed and they want to see us change our lives around.

A Forever Recovery is a complete life changer. The success I have heard from loved ones and close friends who have gone here always bring a tear to my eye. There is nothing more incredible than seeing someone so deep in darkness with no way out find the light again. The program that A Forever Recovery uses is so special and different from other rehabs that I have no doubts on the success rate of it. The staff are wonderful and very well trained on every aspect of the rehab programs they offer. Their care and attention to their clients is the most lovely attribute to this rehab center. Their encouragement, help and guidance to sobriety for anyone in the A Forever Recovery program is remarkable. This is why people leave the center clean and sober and ready for a beautiful new life. Plus, I haven't even mentioned the facility! What a fantastic building and plot of land. It's peaceful and quiet and visually calming, which is exactly what a recovery needs in order to come out the other side. The amenities are great and really showcase the dynamic teamwork that is involved with the staff and clients. They give them their lives back! And the nutrition team and diet they implement as part of the program is something I have never seen before. It's an element of a rehabilitation that makes total sense but I hadn't seen used anywhere else! Putting nutrition and health back into the addict to heal them from the inside out - brilliant! It is something so valuable that I must praise it again because it works! If you have someone who needs to reach sobriety and clean up their life, please look into A Forever Recovery! It will bring back hope and happiness for everyone that has been affected by addiction.

I love A Forever Recovery. It’s such an amazing rehab. The facility is beautiful and it’s a warm and inviting environment to be in. While I was at AFR I felt comfortable and well taken care of. When you first get to AFR you go through detox and while detox itself is never easy or fun the staff at AFR make it much bearable. The medical personnel, nurses and detox staff check on you constantly to make sure you’re doing well and are always helping to make sure that you’re as comfortable as possible. Once you get out of detox and move to start doing your program, you sit down with a counselor and talk about and go over the different programs they have available. There isn’t one perfect way to handle drug and alcohol addiction and at A Forever Recovery they have many different treatment options available. Once you’ve decided on a treatment plan you get started on it. There’s enough groups and classes throughout the day to keep you occupied and busy but not so many that you are overwhelmed with it all. Plus, the other classes they have that break up the day really help. The music and art therapy classes were by far my favorites. Music and art are great ways to work through whatever emotions or issues you’re dealing with. Most people when they get to rehab, myself included are ridiculously unhealthy. Either overweight or underweight. On top of that most rehabs, or at least all the rehabs I’ve been to serve food that isn’t very healthy. So, you’re not healthy before you go and it’s hard to get yourself healthy while you’re there. AFR isn’t like that. They understand that the recovery process needs to include more than just getting someone off drugs. Getting healthy and staying healthy goes a long way into making sure that you don’t relapse. It’s so much easier to stay clean when you feel good about yourself. So, the food at AFR while healthy also tastes good. They have a gym and trainer who comes in to help. They have yoga classes which I loved going to. It was such a great way to start the day there and I’ve continued starting my day with yoga since graduating. More than anything though, it’s the staff at AFR that truly make it special. You can tell that absolutely each and every staff member there completely and honestly care about the clients and their wellbeing. From the instant you get there till you graduate and go home the counselors and staff do everything in their power to make sure that you have a positive experience. That when you go home you are truly ready to go home and are confident in yourself and can use the things that you learned at AFR to stay clean and sober. When you do graduate and go home the aftercare personnel stay in contact with you to make sure that you are doing your aftercare program and if you’re having a bad day or just need to talk to someone there is always someone there willing able to talk to you. Going to AFR completely changed my life.

I went to AFR. Ms. Pam and the staff are great and the facility is great. It has been months since I went there and got the help I finally needed. I am living a life like I have not lived in years!! It really has served its purpose and made me drug free a feeling I have not had in a long time and a life I have not lived in a long time. Treatment options are good. Staff will work with you and guide you through the process. But you have to be able to pull yourself up from where you have been. It has been months and I am able to get back to living. I can not even begin to tell you the emotional and physical H*LL I have been through. It is scary wondering what it will be like and to be taking that step to get things done and started. That was the hardest. Then staying when I could pick up the phone and call my family because I wanted to give up in the beginning but I did not. I did not give up at all. I kept on going. I have seen so many people give up and you want to stop them but you can't you have to focus on yourself. I received so much support from my peers and the staff to get where I am today and I want to say thank you! Thank you so much for getting me to this place I am at in my life right now. You are all awesome. I live so far away but I wish I could come and see you guys and let you see the difference in my life. I feel that I need to give you this public shout out and let everyone know it does work and it will help. YOU just have to be willing. Please, all of you have a great life and I hope that I will never have to see you again. Because if I do then I have hit hard times again. For anyone needing help and wondering what to do. Just do it. Just start and get your life on track. There is no time like now. Good luck and I always will have those who are suffering in my thoughts.

I could not be more happy with the experience we all had at A Forever Recovery. This treatment center treated us all really well. The program was simple yet incredibly effective and helped my brother a lot. Basically, there has been a lot of problems with drug and alcohol addiction within our family and extended family over the decades, so we all know a thing or two about drug and alcohol addiction. That more than perhaps anything else is why we can comfortably say that A Forever Recovery is a truly great drug and alcohol addiction treatment center. This program is very helping and caring and effective. They are able to offer the necessary and needed services to actually effect permanent and lasting change in those who seek them out. The treatment center offers a very positive approach to assisting people in their overall quest to freedom and abstinence from the cruel habit that is drug and alcohol addiction itself. When my brother went to A Forever Recovery, he had already been to three other addiction treatment centers over the course of the fifteen years that he was an alcohol. True enough, none of those other three centers were able to give him any lasting stability or recovery that was worth anything. Those other treatment centers simply did not have the necessary tools and treatment approaches that he needed to help him find a path off of drugs and alcohol that was permanent and lasting. My brother needed a rehab center that would offer him a multi-modality approach to addiction treatment and that is exactly what A Forever Recovery had to offer him. A Forever Recovery is a very effective and a helpful treatment center of the very best kind. This recovery program without a doubt saved my brother’s life. He was getting so bad with his alcohol addiction that I don’t know how much longer he would have lasted for if he hadn’t gotten the help that he did get when he got it. Furthermore, I don’t know if any other treatment center possessed the necessary skill to really help him in the way that A Forever Recovery did. Not only did this treatment center give my brother a multi-modality approach to beating addiction that was very helpful for him, they also gave him an approach that was very helpful in that it let him stay on at the treatment center as long as he needed to to get fully cleaned up and freed from the dismal habit. With the help that my brother was able to get from A Forever Recovery, my brother is now a completely different person and we are all thrilled at his progress and his tenacity so far. My hat is off to A Forever Recovery. This treatment center definitely got something right and make no mistake. I would strongly recommend this treatment center, and not just because of the quality of the program and the length of time of the program itself. I would also recommend this program too because of the facility and the location. Talk about a very clean, pleasant, well taken care of, helpful, engaging, and supportive addiction treatment center. That is exactly what A Forever Recovery is. The program takes exceptional care of their clients by housing them in a beautiful and expansive and very well taken care of treatment approach. On top of that, the location is truly great too. The A Forever Recovery treatment location is housed in the countryside, on a private lake. It is the absolute perfect place for an addiction treatment center. This program also has some of the best staff working there of any staff I have experienced or worked with at a treatment center, which is saying a lot too because I have worked with a and dealt with my own, fair share of different recovery personnel. The A Forever Recovery staff members are highly motivated and helpful and caring in general. The staff are often ex addicts themselves or they have had some experience in the field or area, because they are all very helpful and kind. At the end of the day, I would strongly recommend this center!

I've just taken some time to look through the website and various youtube videos for A Forever Recovery treatment facility. There are so many different places to go for help, but what first appeals to me here, is the name 'Forever". For sure one would want a recovery to be permanent! That's what recovery is and that's what my goal would be. This program and facility seems very professional and can accomodate all types of substance dependancies. The fact the staff of A Forever Recovery are not in it for the money, and consider those in need of help as 'family' -in my mind - makes them worthy of trust.

My daughter Julie went to A Forever Recovery 6 months ago. My daughter started using pain medication 5 years ago and it’s been really hard trying to find and get her into a program that could actually help her. She started using when she was 26 but before then she had a good job that she loved. She had steadily moved up in the company she was working at and for her going to rehab seemed to be especially hard. When she lost her job was when she went to her first rehab and it was bad. She had a horrible attitude about the whole thing. It was like she decided she was better than everyone before she even got there and so didn’t do anything she was supposed to while there and after the 28 days she spent there she just acted like nothing was different and didn’t change at all. She was using again within the week and that’s when her addiction got so much worse. The problem was that she treated each of the subsequent rehabs the same as the first. It was like she just couldn’t understand why they weren’t helping but she didn’t try to do anything different at the treatment centers she was at. It’s entirely possible that the other rehabs could have helped her if she had just put effort into her own recovery. None of the other centers were able to get her to put that effort into her recovery though and so they all failed to help her. That’s why A Forever Recovery was such a blessing. The first time I spoke with my daughter on the phone after detox I could tell that she was going to do the same thing and I started preparing myself for her coming home and relapsing right away again. The way the program works at AFR is different than other rehabs though and the staff wouldn’t let her get away with not doing the program. She was made to fully confront her problems and work on them. She wasn’t allowed to fake her way through a step on her program and she actually had to take responsibility for her addiction and her recovery. The staff at AFR are what made that possible though. If anyone else had tried to get my daughter to confront her problems and take responsibility for her addiction and the actions that led up to it she would have just left in the middle of that program and relapsed. The staff at AFR were amazing at knowing how to handle my daughter. Having multiple treatment options in one facility helped a lot with my daughter’s recovery. She wasn’t just doing the same program as everyone else and with her counselors help she did the program that made the most sense for her. It’s amazing how much good that one thing did. Just having different options and having those options tailored to her and her specific needs. When my daughter completed her program, she continued with her aftercare and was able to stay sober. It’s been 4 months since she’s been home and she’s still sober. She never stayed sober more than a week after any of the other programs and so 4 months is amazing. She’s back at work and moving on with her life though she still speaks with her counselor from AFR and is much more open and honest about her addiction and the problems she’s faced since being home. She doesn’t just assume she’ll be okay anymore. She knows what she needs to do to stay sober and takes the actions that she needs to. It’s amazing having her back.

I really can’t enough good things about A Forever Recovery. The A Forever Recovery drug and alcohol addiction rehabilitation program offers a skilled and workable addiction treatment program that is helpful and engaging for all who take part in it. The A Forever Recovery drug and alcohol addiction program is able to free people from the problems that they face when it comes to facing drug and alcohol addiction. A Forever Recovery offers the tools and the treatment methods that are needed in beating drug and alcohol addiction once and for all and for good. The key points about the program that I noticed were the most helpful were that the program does the following: A Forever Recovery offers an open ended approach to drug and alcohol addiction treatment. What this means is that they essentially offer a length of time in their treatment that is customizable and varied in the services and the care options that they apply to people. The program is extensive and workable in the care options that they apply to those who need the help. The A Forever Recovery works to create stability and a caring recovery approach for beating drug and alcohol addiction by offering a customizable length of time in the recovery options that they deliver to those who need it the most. When I went to A Forever Recovery, I needed more time than the average person does who is going to a rehab center. I always able to get this allotted extra time at A Forever Recovery, and they let me stay on at the treatment center until both the staff members at the center and I were convinced that I had made a fuller recovery and that I was not going to relapse. This was truly incredible and I felt like this more than anything else was what made A Forever Recovery a powerhouse recovery program. In addition to that too though, A Forever Recovery also offers what is called an open-ended, evidence-based, multi-modality approach to addressing drug and alcohol addiction treatment. This means that the program utilizes actually about a dozen different approaches to addressing drug and alcohol addiction treatment and rehabilitation. When I went to A Forever Recovery, I was able to a degree to pick and choose which treatment routes I would take part in and which treatment routes I would not take part in. This choice aspect made all of the difference for me. Rather than being forced to have to do one or two approaches that didn’t really work, I was given options and selections with about a dozen different treatment approaches that all had immense value for me. That was truly awesome and definitely made all the difference. More than anything, I would have to say that the staff at A Forever Recovery made all the difference at A Forever Recovery. I have been to multiple treatment centers before, but none of them were quite like the program and the recovery options that I got at A Forever Recovery. A Forever Recovery offered a truly workable and engaging treatment option, one of which I found to be immensely helpful an engaging to say the least. The staff there helped me every step of the way, and they truly did a phenomenal job with getting me the help and the care and the attention that I needed in getting clean off of drugs and alcohol once and for all and for good. The staff were kind, compassionate, caring, and they were very knowledgeable in the services and the options that they offer to people. At the end of the day, I would strongly recommend A Forever Recovery as a wonderful drug and alcohol addiction treatment program to go to. This rehab center certainly saved my life and made all of the difference in me gaining a freedom from drug and alcohol addiction that has been lasting and permanent. Drug and alcohol addiction is a harsh and a difficult crisis to say the least, but one of which can and should be addressed with the right recovery options. If you are seeking help for yourself or for a loved one who is struggling with drug and alcohol addiction then by all means reach out to A Forever Recovery! They will be able to help you.

Before my husband went to A Forever Recovery I was going to divorce him and move out of state with our children. I was done trying to get him to change and didn’t want him around his kids when he was high. They, for the most part were young enough that they didn’t really understand what was going on and I figured it was better for them to just not see him than seeing him high and growing old enough to realize what he was doing. About 2 years ago he started smoking crack. He had gone to one rehab before AFR and it helped for a little while but he didn’t stay clean for very long. When I told him that I wanted a divorce he asked for me to give him one more chance of going to rehab and we agreed that he would go to rehab again but that if he relapsed we’d get a divorce and I’d take the kids away. When we started researching drug treatment options I found A Forever Recovery and thought that it was by far his best chance at overcoming his addiction. The facility looked really nice and everyone I spoke with prior to my husband going there was nice, competent and well informed about addiction and our options for rehab facilities. I didn’t understand much about addiction and what it does to a person and the counselor I spoke with was extremely patient and understanding with me. He spoke to me for quite a while about addiction in general and helped me understand more about what my husband was going through. My husband Jeremy went to AFR the next day and a couple weeks into his program I started noticing major changes in his attitude and communication skills. He started talking to me more and we were able to work through the problems in our marriage that his addiction had created. We started getting along much better and while I still would have divorced him if he had relapsed I wasn’t constantly trying to plan my life around divorcing him. We went to visit him during his program about a month into it and it was almost miraculous to me the way he looked and acted. He had gained the weight back that he’d lost while smoking crack and looked healthy for the first time in forever. He was smiling and playing with his kids again, laughing and happy again. I hadn’t really seen him smile or laugh in the years he spent smoking crack and it was so great seeing that again. When he graduated from the program there I was so nervous about having him home. Having someone do well in a closed environment is one thing but having him back at work and home is something completely different. He’s proven to me every day that he intends on doing well and staying clean. Now, it’s great having back home again. He’s back to being the husband and father he was before he started smoking crack.

I can only say good things about a forever recovery. They have a clients is first attitude, and they will do anything for their clients. I really have nothing negative to say about this place. Maybe the only thing is that it is in a rather old building but it is well kept a d maintained so it is really not an issue. I liked the fact that there were quite a few staff who had a similar experience to mine, and I would have never though of. They were them example that you can do well and come off of drugs with their method. I quite enjoyed their holistic methods, it is a bit unusual, well not so much since there are other centers who too have these methods, so it was nice. I am all for spirituality and I felt like I went to the right place, and they actually could hook me up with a program that respected my views. I wasn't forced to do a program that I did not like, so that was good. I had great peers and we had each others back when needed. I fell like this program was very beneficial to me and I feel like that this time was the last time I went to rehab, I can handle it now.

A year ago my sister went to A Forever Recovery and this is the longest my sister has gone without using pain pills. 15 years ago my sister went to rehab for crystal meth. She hasn’t touched meth since then and everyone thought that her drug problem was handled. She did great for 5 years. Got married, had 2 kids and had a great job. Then she started using pain pills around 10 years ago. Since then her life has been one big mess. She started doctor shopping to get more pills and was using pretty heavily. Her husband found out and sent her to rehab. When she got out of that rehab she relapsed right away. He sent her to a detox which she managed to get kicked out of for using. She went to another rehab and while she was there her husband divorced her. When she got back from that rehab she still had joint custody of her kids but that was gone pretty quickly. For the last 5 years she’s been in and out of jail and rehabs and her kids have grown up without her. The first time she went to jail for stealing when she got out she was sent immediately to rehab. I think she spent 8 or 9 months in jail and the rehab she did was a 6-month program. When she got out of that rehab she was back getting high within 3 months and it was worse than before. She wasn’t doctor shopping anymore but instead just buying pills from her new dealer friends that she met in jail. She also went from just swallowing her pills, to snorting them, to shooting up. About a year ago she violated her probation when she gave a dirty U/A and was sent back to jail. She went to another rehab, relapsed and on and on until she went to A Forever Recovery. When she went to AFR it changed her. She went from being completely okay with being a drug addict to wanting to get her life in order. Instead of just sitting through groups and wasting time in rehab she actually took an active role in her own recovery. The staff at AFR don’t let the clients just gloss over the program. They make the clients work and work hard on their recovery. My sister learned how to stay clean. How to avoid the things that could make her relapse and since she completed her program she has been doing pretty damn good. She hasn’t relapsed at all and it’s been about a year since she graduated. She working again and talking to her kids more and spending time with them when she can. When she went to jail the first time her ex moved out of state with the kids so she can’t see them as much as she’d like but she’s talking to them again and is part of their lives. Seeing my sister doing this well after completing A Forever Recovery gives me hope that that faze of her life is over. If she relapsed and had to go back to rehab she would definitely go back to A Forever Recovery but after her doing so well for so long I have hope that it won’t be necessary. A Forever Recovery took my sister in at her lowest and has helped her over and over to get her life back on track and she’s a much better person for it.

Anybody who is seeking treatment but scared to approach it, don't worry because AFR has wonderful staff which many of them had gone through the same process as you! So welcoming and there to make your process one which you'll forever hold dear to your heart! Hands down the most positive experience with recovery in my life!!

Where should I start. A forever recommend very dud so much for me, they deserve a good word from me. They have greatly helped me to get on the good road towards sobriety after 10 years of addiction and many many tries, and many different rehabs. The huge difference between afr and the other rehabs? Is that it works. I feel like they were the only once who fully understood my case, and actually healed me inside out. I had a fantastic case manager, who understood me completely and got to the bottom of my case. She was so nice to me when I wanted to give up everything, but she did not let me do this, and I am great full for that! I really enjoyed the program itself too, and I feel like the other activities were very beneficial too. I enjoyed our times out, our off days. We had good outings, it helped compensate. I really enjoyed working out, it felt good to get back to it again. All the members of the staff have been very helpful and in general they are all nice people. I really liked that everyone was very caring, and they always made sure I was doing well, and if this was not the case they did everything to make me feel well. When I felt very sick at the detox, they gave me the right medications, like natural remedies too and all that. I really appreciate it. I would recommend afr to anyone.

If you are serious about recovery and find that the twelve step method is not for you this is definitely the place to go. They do have the traditional 12 steps too, but its facultative. You get to choose between the different options, such as SMART recovery that I choose. The staff are incredibly skilled, knowledgeable and professional and truly want to see their clients get better. You will be provided with all the tools and guidance necessary for a successful recovery within a relaxed social environment. Along with the counseling and guidance session there is plenty of time allowed for daily activity outings and free time to spend as you choose. The relaxed environment helps you focus on your healing, and deal with the things you need to deal with. I enjoyed their meals as well, you always get a good choice of meals, so you don't get bored of eating the same food over and over, even if you stay a considerable time. I really appreciated that I could stay for a longer period of time, because I did not feel like 30 days were enough, so I stayed almost 2 months, and boy it was good. I feel like afr has given me so many tools in order to live a drug free life. Tools that I did not have before, that I did not learn at my previous rehab. I feel like this time I can clearly stay off drugs and I wont relapse. Thank you to all the caring staff for helping me get to this point. Love you guys!

That place is amazing , the facility is beautiful and the staff members are very competent in what they are doing. I love the food choices as well , its very important to eat a well balanced healthy diet when you are trying to recover. Your diet plays a big role in your mental well being. Its pretty cool that they have a lot of activities too to distract you and to help you relax between , If you are struggling with drug problems this place is the best to go for help! I think its quite amazing that we live in a world where people can get help when they needed.

A forever recovery is truly a place of healing. Through it's holistic approaches, it covers recovery from the beginning to end. Starting with its detox/residential all the way to intensive outpatient, and after care planning a forever recovery delivers wholeness to the path towards sobriety. Not only does a forever recovery focuses on the individual, it views the process of growth to be family oriented and takes on a magnificent systems approach to reuniting individuals to a healthy, functioning family system by revising the system itself and all members within it. They do not only believe in providing change on all aspects of unhealthy self-medication but transcends the individual within on many levels of the human experience. It is very common to have addiction related to other mental obstacles, therefore their attendance to Duel Diagnosis is on point and professional best practices. In given the honor to meet the founder, I have seen transcendence at its best representation due to his phenomenal knowledge in field and moreover, the clear empathy, sincerity, and compassion of this individual who represents these exact components in providing true healing. Conclusively, a forever recovery's philosophy, staff, and mission truly aligns with one another in a very cohesive modality. The environment is excellent, people are truly those who care, and professional style is that in which I say I sincerely trust! They are called forever recovery because the person who leaves after their treatment stays clean, they handle the underlying issues, so they will be fully treated.

A Forever Recovery has helped my family tremendously. When my son went to the facility he had been smoking crack cocaine for 11 years. He had been to treatment before and at one point was even clean for over a year. As many people can attest to especially if someone you love needs help it is a special kind of torture to watch as someone you love abuses drugs. You know at any given time it could lead to their death. Either by overdosing or by doing something insanely stupid to get money for drugs. For 11 years I watched as my son got worse and worse doing what I could to help him get into treatment but never having that treatment be enough to stop that vicious cycle of addiction. I was always relieved when my son got arrested and was in jail for any length of time. It gave me a peace of mind that I didn’t normally have. For the time period that he was in jail I knew where he was, I knew that he was eating, that he had a place to sleep and that he would actually get some sleep. Most of all I knew that for the length of time my son was in jail that I didn’t have to worry about him dying. When my son was clean for a year it was about 5 years ago. The way he is now compared to how he was then is remarkable. For that year he was clean but that was about it. There was nothing all that different about him except that he wasn’t using drugs. He was still acting the same and was still doing stupid things. When he went to A Forever Recovery I wasn’t sure what to expect. He has been to quite a few rehabs and none seemed to really help him. I would never just give up on my son but after 11 years I wasn’t sure what else I could do to help him. I think finding A Forever Recovery and sending my son there was the best thing for him. It made a difference that this time he wasn’t just saying he wanted help. He truly was ready to get help with his addiction and he was determined to get clean and stay clean. The facility as a whole was really nice. It was a calm and peaceful environment where he could take the time he needed to get his life in order. The program and the staff at the facility were both unbelievably helpful. The amount that these staff members care about the patients is astonishing. It’s something I haven’t seen before at any of his previous rehabs. This changed things for my son. When a counselor said anything about helping him his back didn’t immediately go up thinking that these people couldn’t possibly understand what he was going through and therefore couldn’t really help him. He felt like he was understood there and that was a huge thing for him. They also worked with us as a family and that helped us resolve a mess of things. My husband’s relationship with our son has improved so much. They have started talking through things and working their problems out. My son went to A Forever Recovery 8 months ago and has been home for the past 6 months. This 6 months that he’s been clean is different from the year he was clean before. Mainly because he working on improving his life and he has a kind of serenity to him that he didn’t have the last time he was clean. He’s starting to think about the future and what he wants to do with his life. My son is finally sober and happy about being sober.

It's definitely a positive experience! The place is nice, the staff are nice too. I had an over all very good experience with afr. I went there for drug addiction, and I did the program, mainly 12 steps, but there is some other choices too. The counselors were very nice, they were really helping me with my issues, and I am glad I decided to go to rehab, because I just could not keep going how I was going. Now after 5 weeks that I am back i feel stable and I don't feel like I need any drugs ever again. I know you can relapse, but I think I am nit going to, the program was very effective. Loads of the people who go to rehabs, have to go 3-4 times to finally really get clean. Of course that depends on the level of their addiction, and what drug they are addicted to. Me personally this was my second rehab, and I very very hope that it is gonna be the last one. I have spend so much time wasting it on drugs, that this time I am persuaded that it is gonna be good, plus I feel so well and stable. I feel like that at a forever recovery they do things differently. Like they actually want you to get clean, and also the reason I stayed 5 weeks not only 30 days, cause they said the purpose is not to come back 3 times, but to actually do a rehab to a result, where you can be off drugs on your own too. Cause it is nice to be off of drugs in a rehab, since you actually don't really have a choice, but it's different to be clean when you go home. So in all honesty i really appreciate their attitude and I completely agreed, and thanks to this I feel like I can keep myself clean from now on. The staff are really lovely, and they all come to you and talk to you, ask you how it is going, if we need anything we can go talk to them and so on. I recommend a forever recovery to those who are serious about getting clean. It is a rehab that can give you yourself back and they do keep their word about that.

I wanted to say a few words here and share my experience at A Forever Recovery. Rehab is such a controversial subject you know? We’re talking about drug and alcohol addicts here trying to be helped by legitimate businesses. I suffered with addiction myself for four years, and I lied more and cheated more and caused more problems in those four years than all the other years of my life combined, and I wasn’t exactly a saint those other years too, so that’s saying something. I have been to two rehab centers before I went to A Forever Recovery, and the level of service and care that I got at this rehab center was something else. I am really happy with the services that I experienced here. It means something to me that the program did what they did, and that the program was as helpful as it was. But, to be honest, the other two rehabs weren’t terrible. Again, no such thing as a “bad” rehab center by any means. I will say though that A Forever Recovery was cut above the rest. First of all, they let me stay on longer than the typical, average, normal length of time that rehab centers service people for. That alone made the rehab center special to me. At the other two rehab centers, I was done and completed after 28 days, though for both of them I felt like I could have used more time in the actual program itself. At A Forever Recovery, they gave me the extra time that I needed, and I feel like that truly made all the difference in the world. The second thing that I liked a lot about A Forever Recovery was the variety of service that I received there. Talk about a mixed bag of treatment therapies! This is an alternative, results based, multi modality facility, so while most rehab centers are topped off at one or two different treatment approaches, A Forever Recovery has something like twelve different approaches instead, and to a degree I was able to pick and choose which approaches worked for me and which did not. That was really something for me. Finally, I was really impressed with the staff at A Forever Recovery. Never before have I met rehab center staff who were so dedicated and impassioned with their work than the staff at A Forever Recovery was. These guys really knew what they were doing, and they were the type that would not rest until they had made complete and total recoveries in every single one of their clients. I felt like the staff at A Forever Recovery had more of a care factor in their hiring process. I feel like they really cared, and I feel like these guys really wanted us to get clean and really cared about us as individual persons. As a result I am actually still in touch with a few of the staff members at A Forever Recovery, and I will probably continue to stay in contact with them indefinitely too. All in all, this was a great rehab center. I really appreciate them and hope they will continue to do good deeds and that they will continue to help people. I would strongly recommend this program to anyone who was looking to make a full recovery from addiction and substance abuse.

What a nice peaceful place this is for someone looking to recover from addiction. Call and get started with them today, I know you won't regret it.

A total class act...treated my son with nothing but respect. I was not lured in, I never felt pressured nor did I feel as if I was only $ sign to this facility as a few reviews that had been written have claimed. We are just newly into the program but there is no doubt in my mind the main interest is for success of their patients. So far, nothing negative has really jumped out at me. I think they have selected a fine staff that is willing to take on a very tough task...and determined to do it successfully. THANK YOU A FOREVER RECOVERY for caring about my son, when I thought there was no hope. This challenge has to be difficult however from what I've seen so far, and how we have both been treated, I'm confident he is in good hands.
